What will my child be learning?
Crayon’s programme combines the International Preschool Curriculum (IPC) and the Basic component for preschool education of Ukraine. Teaching is delivered in two languages — English and Ukrainian. Also, at Crayon International Preschool students learn leadership skills and how to think critically.
Age, requirements
and deadlines for admission?
Crayon’s students are children from 2 to 6 years old. There’s no deadline for admission: there’s a year-round policy for open registration. That is, we admit new pupils at any time during the school year. There are no requirements for admission either, but it’s worth taking into account that children, admitted to groups of preschool education, spend some time with a speech therapist and a psychologist for the adaptation period. A quality report about the results is delivered to the parents without delay.
Does Crayon preschool have a license?
Crayon International Preschool has the state license to conduct educational activities in the field of preschool education.
How’s the food at the preschool?
Crayon offers its pupils a balanced menu five times a day. Available are a lactose-free and gluten-free diets, as well as a menu based on individual peculiarities, needs and tastes. The food is cooked in our own certified kitchen by the HACCP standard (the standard of food security). The price varies depending on the contract: five times in the full-day model and three times in the part-time (mini-preschool) model. When signing up your child to our preschool, you can notify what kind of diet your child needs.
How is the teaching process organized?
Under IPC, the educational process is conducted by two teachers and an assistant. One teacher ensures implementation of the Basic component of preschool education and teaches in Ukrainian. The other educator, a native speaker of English, is a staff teacher of the international program at our preschool and provides an English-speaking educational environment. The assistant helps both teachers and students.
Does it make sense to study English at such a young age?
We are confident that the sooner children begin to submerge into a multi-language environment with professional guidance from teachers, the better start they get in life.
What security measures are implemented?
Crayon International Preschool is located in its own building on a closed territory. Safe certified materials were used during the construction of the premises. There’s video surveillance of the territory, and a professional security service is in place.
Are individual lessons an option at Crayon?
